It is no longer a question if nurses are stress in their jobs or not, that is already a statement. With the kind of work that they do, going here and there to attend patients and to assist doctor, they sure are busy when they do their job. Sometimes they are unable to eat during meal hours, that is how busy they are.

According to a recent study, ninety percent of them are dealing with stress every day either a moderate one or of high level. This is something to have your attention to since this can affect greatly to your way of living not only with your work. Provided below are helpful guide to stress management minority nurses.

Mood swings can be seen in a person who is dealing with such. Due to being in that state, you easily get tired from doing anything leading you in getting irritated easily. This lead to you not being able to take care of yourself due to lack of time and having no interest of doing various things or you are too busy in the hospital so all you think about is to go home and take a rest.

Since they no longer have much time, during breaks instead of eating healthy home cooked foods, there go to meal places are fast food restaurants. This is not good. Not taking good care of the health can lead to various health problems since the immune system will get weaker more and more without proper nutrients in the body.

If you want to remain healthy, you have to be able to take good care of yourself and make it as your number one priority. No one can help you with it but yourself only. Well, your loved ones can, but not totally. They will not be there all the time for you and you need know how to handle it by yourself.

Ignore all the bad vibes that comes along your way. You see, your work is not only the reason why you are stressed, it could also be in the house, etc. Example, when having a conversation with another person and you feel like you get stressed talking to him or her. Excuse yourself and walk out from it.

Now, there are cases when you cannot just get way for it. If this is the case, what you could do is to take a deep breath and count from one to ten then brace for the impact ahead. Deal with the situation as calmly as you can. This may be difficult to face but in order to get away from such you have to do this.

When stressed, your breathing gets affected, it feels like as if you no longer do not know how to breathe. This is normal. It is just your body telling going into defense mode and it is the way of the body in handling it. Proper breathing should then be executed during these times to remove you with that feeling.

Calm yourself. Being calm in almost anything is what needs to be done. Doing your job calmly without panicking specially during peak hours will not help you deal with the situation, instead it will worsen it. So, be calm and give yourself time to relax even if its just a few seconds, this will already help to avoid getting stressed.
