A glowing tan has been the look of health for many years now. When summer is approaching, many more people look to the sun or tanning beds to achieve a healthy and active glow that not only looks good, but makes them feel good about themselves as well. Some of the sprays are even designed for more than one skin shade and offend depend on how dark you want your tan. Be sure to check the shade of the spray before purchasing it.

Most tanning salons also offer the service of a sun self tanning spray. This is usually done standing in the tanning booth while the spray is covering the body from head to toe. In order to keep this tanned appearance, regular visits are recommended. The sun self tanning spray needs to be reapplied every few days to prevent fading.

When you want to achieve a tan without going to a salon or using the sun self tanning spray that are available at any retail, drug or department store, you can always spend hours laying out in the direct sunlight. Of course this can cause many skin disorders and diseases.

It is highly recommended that sunscreens are used when in direct sunlight. Many of them will allow the skin to tan, just not develop a painful sunburn or worse. Be aware that a sun self tanning spray does not have sunscreen.
